Tereos - Guarani - Cruz Alta Unity
Reunion Engenharia was responsible for a full remodeling of the sugar drying and handling for the Tereos-Guarani, involving the circuits of crystal sugar, refined granulated and amorphous refined sugar.
Guarani is one of the most important sugar suppliers to the Brazilian retail market, so the project followed strict food safety regulations.
The scope also included a 4,500 t/day sugar dilution process from raw sugar truck unloading to liquid sugar treatment for refining. The unit is capable of unload 4 trucks simultaneously.
This stage of the work was marked by a series of challenges from the consolidation of assumptions, concepts of process, physical space limitations, and logistic requirements.
The project after its conclusion received FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification), that confirmed the design’s compliance to international standards of food safety.
